Our Childhood Home

Some buyers go out of their way to find a special older home, like a Victorian or Craftsman or Bungalow design in a mature neighborhood. Mid-century homes, built between 1940 and 1960, are becoming popular with people looking to preserve details remembered from their childhood. A few of these homes still have popcorn ceilings, shag carpet, pink or blue bathrooms, Formica countertops and metal cabinets, and industrial looking appliances. Mid-century styles are even starting to come back into home improvement stores and appliance brands as retro styles. If you maintain a house in its period, it remains timeless! But there are some retro styles out there that will never come back!
