The approach to downsizing is changing. The one-story home continues to be the most popular floorplan. It is physically easier to get around, plus it lives larger on the main level. Luxury amenities that may not have existed in the family home are on the top of the list for this next home. The more luxurious smaller home is not always less expensive than the larger family home. We are in better health, working longer, and enjoying a higher lifestyle than the generations before us, and we deserve a little luxury in our lives.
