Surprisingly, the spring market in the Chicagoland area often starts in January and February. We have early buyer activity and strong contracts in January, February, and March. While anxious buyers stay focused on purchasing a home through November and December, some buyers will take a break in their active house hunting over the holiday season. The search begins again in earnest right after the holidays, especially when we get a few warm and sunny days. This is a great time for buyers as they can see homes before the spring rush. It is a great time for sellers because early buyers are serious and well qualified buyers.
